Project Updates
In April 2023, Eli Lilly and Company broke ground to create a new manufacturing facility in Lebanon, Indiana. The site has greatly changed since that cold and snowy Monday morning last year.
More than a 20 drill rigs and cranes now dot the project skyline. On the south side of the 600-acre site, white painted structural steel installation continues to progress. Messer Construction has a large portion of the production building framed and recently began the important step of the first interior pipe placement.
On the north side, steel is being erected for the first of several buildings. Foundation work and construction has begun on subsequent buildings to prepare for future steel framing. A retention pond is now complete and tied into the site’s drainage system. The soil dug to create the ponds has been used to create an earthen berm for the project. Road improvements have been completed on interior roadways and surrounding the site, making deliveries and worker access easier and safer.
