Project Updates
Fluor local supply chain team members have an important role, working to put together bid packages and source and manage local contracts for the project. Here are a couple of the team members you may see out and about in the community.
Ashlee Herrington
Fluor Contracts Administrator
Ashlee Herrington serves as a contract administrator for Fluor, assisting with the review and administration of contracts for the project. Hailing from what she calls “the great country of Texas,” Herrington joined the LP1 team nearly nine months ago and promptly moved to the Lebanon area. Since then, she’s enjoyed getting to know the community and working with local business owners.
What’s the best thing about your job and/or the project?
Hands down, the people. The sound of laughter is always resounding from some place in the construction trailer. We are always doing something as a group and that has created an environment of camaraderie which is appreciated.
Where’s one of the most interesting locations you’ve ever worked or visited?
Southern Switzerland will always hold a special place in my heart. It has something in the air that just makes that part of the world magnetic. Then, you add in the culture, people, language, and food and it just makes you want to stay forever.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I enjoy trying new things. Archery and crocheting are my two new hobbies to conquer.
Julie Plue
Fluor Contracts Administrator
Julie Plue started with Fluor in the spring. The Clinton County native and Purdue graduate is glad to be working on a project close to home. Working as a contract administrator, Plue serves as a point person for subcontractors, managing the execution, performance and compliance of various contracts to facilitate building construction.
What’s the best thing about your job and/or the project?
One of the best things about being a contracts administrator at Fluor is the exposure to a diverse range of people and perspectives. In this role, I get the opportunity to interact with individuals from various backgrounds, industries, and cultures, whether they are clients, vendors or colleagues. This diversity not only enriches my professional experience but also broadens my skill set by making each day interesting and different.
Where’s one of the most interesting locations you’ve ever worked or visited?
I have traveled for work in the past, but being close to home has been an absolute pleasure. Being able to connect my co-workers with resources and share some of my favorite things has been fun.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I enjoy being outside, learning, reading and hanging out with my kids.
