Meet the Team – 2025 Q3

Jennifer Kim and Eric White recently relocated to Boone County to support the Lebanon Project. They have spent the last few months enjoying all that the area has to offer. Keep an eye out for them and our other team members around town.

Jennifer Kim
Fluor program director for the Lebanon Project

Jennifer Kim’s 29 years with Fluor have spanned a wide range of roles, including engineering, estimating, sales and marketing, field engineering, project management and operations management. Kim began working on the project in February and moved to Whitestown in April.

What is one of your favorite things about the area so far?

Everyone is so friendly, helpful and welcoming. I feel like I’ve always been here!

What is your role with the LP1 project?

I manage the many different elements of this project to ensure that all of the teams are working together toward a common goal. This is a huge, multi-faceted project and it has grown in scope since we first broke ground two years ago. There are a lot of moving parts, so as you can imagine it takes a lot to ensure all the aspects are integrated and working together well.

What’s the best thing about your job?

This is an amazing project to work on. Not only are we building a facility that will produce life-changing medicines, but it is also one of the largest, most complex projects I have ever worked on. This is going to be one of the most significant projects of my career!

Where’s one of the most interesting locations you’ve ever worked?
This is a hard question for me, as I worked in 14 different countries. I’m not sure I could name just one. The people made them all interesting, both the teams I worked with and the individuals I encountered. It was rewarding to discover what we had in common in all these places, from Puerto Rico and Canada to the United Kingdom, Sweden and Norway, to China, India, the Philippines, Australia and Malaysia, as well as a few places in between.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

I enjoy various types of physical fitness, including weight training and running. My husband and I are avid kitesurfers and plan trips to warm and windy beaches whenever we can get away.

Eric White
Fluor industrial relations manager

Eric White has more than 14 years of experience working in Industrial Relations. Originally from Pittsburgh, White has traveled all over the globe in his role and says home is wherever the project is. He currently resides in Whitestown and has been enjoying getting to know the Boone County community.

What is one of your favorite things about the area so far?

I like that it is a combination of new and old. It’s growing very fast so anything you need is close by. However, while it’s growing, it is keeping a small-town feel. I don’t feel like I’m living in a big city.

What is your role with the LP1 project?

Essentially, I ensure that we have a good partnership with our unionized trades. I serve as a central point of communication and make sure they have the support they need. I also work to make sure that our management understands the current labor market and what it takes to get a quality, properly trained, work force. We want to make this the best site not only in this area, but in the state. To do that, we have to attract the best workforce.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Construction is challenging because your success means you’re finished. I’ve worked on several mega projects, and while the hours and the work tempo are challenging, I enjoy creating solutions to problems and keeping everyone working toward the same goal. When the tempo of construction ramps up it
can become stressful, but I enjoy the fast pace and ensuring everything works smoothly. You never know what you’re going to deal with on a given day, which makes every day exciting.

Where’s one of the most interesting locations you’ve ever worked?

Building the Muscat Oman International Airport was by far my most interesting project. I was a college-educated Iraqi war vet and I still didn’t know where Oman was on the map. While not understanding anything about the culture at the beginning, I soon became pleasantly surprised. Living in the Middle East was an interesting experience. Working in Angola, Africa south of the Congo River was also incredible. This job really has allowed me to see the world. The projects have been jumping off points for my travels.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

I enjoy golfing badly, and taking road trips and walks with my girlfriend and Corgi. I’m also a big movie buff.
