Supporting Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Each September, in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, the construction industry designates a week to promote awareness of the specific challenges encountered by its workforce that contribute to suicide risk, as well as to highlight measures for prevention. During the month, LP1 site staff designed and localized a month-long campaign to provide workers information and tools about mental health and well-being. Our thanks to Lebanon Witham Health Services for supporting these efforts.

We’re On This Road Together safety campaign

With more than 2,800 personnel already on site and new workers joining daily, Fluor remains committed to keeping both our team members and local farmers safe on Boone County roadways. To support this effort, the Boone County Farm Bureau and Purdue Extension have partnered with the Lebanon Project since before ground was broken in 2023 to promote the seasonal We’re on This Road Together safety campaign each fall and spring.

This fact, and fewer young people entering the trades, has created an unprecedented demand for skilled trades professionals across various industries, especially construction.

Supporting Local Students with School Supplies

For the third year in a row, Eli Lilly and Company, Fluor and companies working at the LP1 project site hosted an employee-driven school supply and backpack donation to benefit Freedom Church Serve Day on Aug. 2. Staff donated 1,900 items and gave ten-times the amount of cash donations over last year with a $5,300 donation. The total donation include cash and items was valued at $12,600. The supplies will benefit an estimated 1,000 Boone County school children.
